Rabbit Friendly Vets

28/03/2019 By Heathfield Vets

It’s Official – Heathfield Vets are a Rabbit Friendly Vet Practice.

We are delighted to have been accredited as a silver Rabbit Friendly Practice, having been assessed by the RWAF in everything from the facilities we provide, to the way that we administer anaesthesia to rabbits.

We know that coming to the vets can be stressful for bunnies, especially given they are often surrounded by cats and dogs.

Our separate cat/rabbit waiting room is designed to accommodate them, as often it is an independent space where your bunnies have no other animals around them – if it is in use already, there is always the option go into a consult room early, just ask any one of our receptionists. The vet can then join you there, rather than you waiting to be called through.

We also put in extra measures when rabbits are in the hospital, to make sure they are comfortable and to make their stay as stress-free as possible.
