Vaccinations are an important part of routine pet care, to prevent or reduce the risks of a number of diseases which can often prove fatal if contracted. Our vaccinations also include a full nose to tail health check to ensure your pet is fit and happy.
If you are looking for advice on which vaccinations your pet needs, do not hesitate to call – we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Canine vaccinations
We follow the World Small Animal Veterinary Association‘s advice with regards to the core vaccination schedule for dogs which recommends vaccinations at 8,12 and 16 weeks of age and annual adult booster each year. We also recommend dogs are protected against ‘kennel cough’ in addition to their core vaccines.
Feline vaccinations
We recommend vaccinations for both outdoor and indoor cats with a primary vaccination for kittens at 8 and 12 weeks and an annual adult booster. If your cat has never been vaccinated, it’s not too late to start protecting them, they will need a primary course of 2 injections, 4 weeks apart and a single annual booster thereafter.
Rabbit vaccinations
Rabbits can be vaccinated from 5 weeks of age with a single injection which needs to be repeated annually to provide protection.
Rabies vaccinations
The rabies vaccination is required if your wish to travel with your dog, cat or ferret, this vaccinations lasts for 3 years. Learn more about pet travel here.
